THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE (5/28/17)

We say THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE to men and women serving in the armed services of our country. On Sunday morning, May 21st, we said THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE to Larry Olguin who has served the believers here at Community since soon after he and his family started here in 1975. I thought it was 1977 and that would have made his service 40 years. I was in error so his service total is now 42 years. Thank you Larry for your service and love and prayers and care for so many of us over the more than 40 years you have led us.

Our friend, Dylan Williams was married this past week (actually Monday, May 22nd) to Tori Newman. Congrats to the newlyweds. I have a wedding card we will send on your behalf to the couple after we make it available for you to sign.

A birthday celebration is being given by some of the friends of Mrs. Peak in her honor on Sunday afternoon, June 11th and you are invited. See details in bulletin.

Daily Bread Bible reading guides are in the lobby for you to get today. June 1 is the start date.

Ronald and Danielle Rojas have in worship here at Community in recent weeks. Ronald had a motorcycle accident a few days ago while on Greenleaf. He is in the hospital recovering. I have a get-well card we will send on your behalf to Ronald and Danielle after we make it available for you to sign.

God’s best to you,

Pastor Richard

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

THE PASTOR MADE ME CRY

I admit it. I don't know who said this but I heard someone say it after the service on May 21st.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

MANDO HAS NEVER MET A STRANGER HE DIDN’T KNOW

I took Mando to the Whittier Pastors meeting a few days ago. He knew more people there than me.
