Thank You For Your Prayers (12/11/16)

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement for us Todds in the passing of Claudia’s dad the day after Thanksgiving. Memorial services for Dick Martinson will be tomorrow morning, December 12th, at Arlington Cemetery in Riverside (10:01 AM).

The special Sundays of Advent continue today and continue through Christmas Eve. Each Sunday before Christmas day one of you families will share the Advent theme of the week, share a Scripture portion and lead us in prayer. Don’t miss any of these Advent times with the final presentation being our Christmas Eve service. Mike & Heidi Romero led us on November 27th. Tori & Malachi led us on December 4th plus we have several others of you to lead us today.

I want to recommend to you a conference for church people that are interested in missions. Interact with cutting edge speakers, training, dialogue, inspiration & challenge! The time for engaging our world on mission--across the street and around the world is NOW!  The date is Saturday, January 28th, 2017. The location is at the Grace Church of Orange in Orange, CA. I have put some flyers at the Information Center in the Lobby for you to pick up.

End & Joyce Faranda opened the doors of their home just last night for a group of you and shared their Christmas outreach. People in Southern California that come by their home to listen to the Christmas story from Luke 2 and Christmas carols. If you drive by on certain nights Ed and Joyce may come out and give you a candy cane.

Remember the quote of the week that I shared in my December 4th note to you?

The words were MY NEIGHBOR IS COMING to the church Christmas party. I met them Sunday evening and I found out later that they won a prize to take home. They had a good evening in meeting you.

We are looking forward to Kyle Cherryholmes visiting for the upcoming Christmas holidays. He arrives December 19.

The leaders of the Grace Churches Network met here on our church campus this past Tuesday to fellowship and share ministry updates. We then had lunch next door at Mr. Giant.

Christmas blessings,

Pastor Richard
